Brian Miller, Site Manager
Phone: (801) 557-6995Email: builder.sgsinc@gmail.com
Brian Miller has been in the construction industry in one aspect or another for the past 30 years. He has worked as a framing contractor, a lending officer, a site engineer, a project superintendent and now as the newest addition to the Aspen Summit team as the Site Manager.
Brian is originally from Southern California where he grew up playing baseball when he wasn’t riding the Newport Beach surf. He learned the importance of hard work from his Los Angeles Police Officer father and Registered Nurse mother. His first job was working alongside his paternal grandfather who was a General Contractor and plasterer by trade. At the tender age of 12, under careful supervision, he was given the chance to build his first house, albeit a dog house. By the time he was 17 he was running framing crews twice his age.
After relocating to the beautiful state of Utah in the late 1990’s Brian married his sweetheart Shelli. While working on a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Utah, Brian was a two-year starter on the Utes baseball team playing catcher. An injury kept him from playing professionally after being drafted in the seventh round of the 1995 MLB Draft by the Kansas City Royals.
With baseball visions behind, Brian returned to his roots of construction working for First Security Bank as a Real Estate Lending Officer. Mergers between banks led Brian again to “strap on the bags” and become a site engineer for a company installing the first reach of the Keystone Pipeline in Churchill, Manitoba, Canada. Upon returning from Canada Brian went to work for a custom home builder in Utah County as their Project Superintendent.
In Brian’s spare time he coaches Little League baseball, loves to have the best yard in the neighborhood and spending time with family. Brian and Shelli have a daughter attending the University of Washington. They currently reside in Alpine with their dogs Isabella and Opal.
